GE Money fraud alert: what to verify before calling!

Although this number appears to be legitamate, it's always best to call the number on the back of your card instead of one provided in a text message. I recived a text from this number stating that my card had been blocked due to posible fraud activity, so i contaced the number on the back of my card to verifiy the informations.

The fraud departement at Latitude Financial is open 24/7, thats what i was told.

After verifying with my bank, I confirmed this was a legitimate message, and my card was subsequently cancelled and replaced due to fraudulent activity

Verification with Coles Mastercard confirmed this number is legitimate, as they were investigating an internet purchase

In my experience, this number is legitimate, as I received a call from a lady at GE Money to discuss a suspicious charge, which was later verified by my card issuer as a genuine fraud alert.

Initially thought to be a scam, a call to GE Money's fraud department revealed that they had indeed placed a block on my credit card due to a suspicious transaction, confirming the legitimacy of their actions.

Contrary to other reports, this number is actually associated with the fraud department of GE.
