Is This Treasury Threat Call a Scam?
Summary — +13152569523
Expert Opinion
Watch out for calls that demand immediate payment or threaten arrest while claiming to be from the Treasury or IRS. These recordings often feature a heavily accented male voice, use legal jargon, and repeat the same script across multiple area codes. Never provide personal or financial information to unsolicited callers, and avoid calling the number back. If you receive such a message, hang up, block the number, and consider reporting it to the FCC or your local consumer protection agency. Document the call details, including the caller ID and any recorded messages, to help authorities track the scam patterns.

Kevin Mason, a known scam artist, called with the same message that has been reported by others
Be cautious of this number, as scammers claim to be from the IRS or Treasury Department, threatening arrest, despite these agencies not outsourcing their tasks to third parties; a tactic can be to return the call with a blocked number and respond with a whistle.
