Stop the Fake Microsoft Tech Support Calls!

On 7 Feb 15, at 15:04, I answered a call, there was a delay before the Indian 'gentleman' came on the line, it was obviously a computer generated calling, he asked me about a problem with my computer, but I have a MAC, so he apologised and hanged up, this guy will eventualy find his mark, so beware, it's unlikely that Microsoft would call every customer informing them of a problem

Following a call from this number, the individual demonstrated knowledge of my laptop issues and offered to resolve the problem, which I naively allowed; however, my laptop persists in having startup issues.

I received a call from this number on February 19, 2015, claiming to be from Microsoft, but the caller's story was suspicious, and a search revealed the number to be based in Alberta, Canada

Clearly, the caller was very persistant, even after I told them they werent actually from Windows, when they asked me to turn on my computer, wich was allready on, it didnt exactly help ther crediblity alot. Isit worth setting up a petition on the House of Commons website to get this issue debated, especally since its an election year? Finaly, its not imposible that scamers might be reading this website, so be carefull what informations you provide.

During a call from this number on a holiday Monday, a representative claiming to be from Microsoft, with an apparent Indian accent, was met with skepticism and eventually ended the call

During a recent conversation, the caller claimed my computer was infected, but their story fell apart when questioned about their location, ultimately leading to the call being terminated.

An Indian man has been calling repeatedly, despite being told to stop. He claimed his name was Ronald Williamson and was attempting to gain computer information. The caller's knowledge of the recipient's name, despite being ex-directory, is suspicious and alarming.

This number has been showing up the last few days, today a voice with a foreign accent said they were calling about my computer, which sounded completly fake

This morning's call followed the standard script, with the individual claiming to be 'James from Windows Technical supporting team', requesting that I turn on my computer, but he abruptly ended the call after I mentioned the police officer installing tracking software on it

At 10:45, I received a call from an Indian gentleman claiming to represent Microsoft, who insisted I had a computer despite my denial, and only hung up after I asked him to remove my number from his list.

A gentleman with an Indian accent, claiming to be Alex Shaw from Microsoft, contacted me from this number.

These scam calls are frustrating, and it is concerning to think about how many people, especially the elderly and inexperienced, may be affected by them
