Expert Opinion
Many users report that calls from this number claim to be from Citizens Bank, often referencing account issues, loan applications, or security alerts. While a handful describe legitimate follow‑ups after online inquiries, a larger share describe the calls as unsolicited, requesting personal data, or ending abruptly when questioned—classic signs of a phishing scam. If you receive such a call, hang up, do not share any personal or financial information, and verify the contact by calling the bank’s official number or visiting a branch. Enable call‑blocking features and report suspicious numbers to your carrier and the FTC.
