Why That VFW‑Like Call Keeps Coming Back?

This call is from the American Veterans organization, seeking donations.

I received a call supposedly from the VFW, requesting a $20 donation, and was unhappy when I asked for something in the mail instead of providing my credit card information.

I recieved a call from somone asking for donations, but they werent transparant about where the money was going, so I didnt donate

a call was recieved from a number, it was a V.F.W looking for donations, they asked for me by name and it's a mystery how they got it

This number calls our home around two times daily, which is not only intrusive but also concerning, as the caller claims to know us by our first names and solicits donations for veterans, despite our registration on the no-call list.

Multiple calls have been received from this number within a short time frame, prompting the question of how to stop them

I recieved a call from this number on Labor Day, when i asked who was calling, they said 'tell him the VFW called' and hung up, it was suspicious, i called back and added my number to their do not call list, but the call-back number they gave me was different from the one someone else had to call

After calling back a missed number, an automated recording from the VFW national HQ was reached, indicating they had attempted to solicit a donation.

This phone number is from the veterans of foreign wars, so it's legit
