How to stop fake legal threat calls!
Summary — +14244147218
Expert Opinion
Block the number immediately and report it to the FTC and your carrier; don’t share personal info with any unsolicited caller. These calls use high‑pressure tactics, claim legal urgency, and often request the last four digits of your Social Security number. If a caller says they’re a “process server” or “collection agency,” ask for written verification and hang up. Keep a log of call times and any recorded messages, then forward the details to your state’s consumer protection office. Staying skeptical and refusing to engage is the best defense against these scams.

These scammers claim to have received a fax or complaint, stating that a legal matter is pending and creating a sense of urgency. They pose as process servers, refusing to provide case details due to supposedly sealed files. This ruse aims to convince the victim to call another number, where they will be asked for money to resolve the fake issue. Threats of serving papers at home or work are also made, with false claims of requiring a supervisor or HR representative as a witness.
