Who’s Behind the $9,000 Grant Scam?

A suspicious call was received, claiming the recipient had been selected to receive $9000 in grant money. Upon requesting a callback number, 2024951371 was provided, and a man answered as the Grants Department, prompting an immediate hang-up.

A guy with a indian/pakastani accent, claimed to be daniel from the goverment, offering me $8700 for my personel info, obviuosly a fake name, goverment dont call you, they send letters

A call was received with a ridiculous explanation for how the caller obtained the phone number, and the caller claimed to be from the Federal government.

This is a scam, they want you to open a windows co-session so they can install ransomware, they will ask you yes or no questions to record your voice, its very scary

A gentleman named David Johnson called, claiming to be from the United States Treasury Department, stating that I was randomly selected for a $9000 grant, but after verifying the information, it was confirmed to be a scam, and I advise others to report similar calls to the real Treasury Department.

Its a scam, dont expect to get free money or anything
