Why This Unknown Caller Wants Your SSN!

I get a message asking to verify my employment, but i just a regular employee

This number contacted my employer, seeking verification of my employment and social security number, which is a concerning and potentially malicious act.

A person contacted me saying they were reprenting a third party group, they wanted to verify the president of my company and the last four digits of my social secuirity number, they also mencioned the call was beeing recorded, I knew it was a scam because legitamite b2b companys dont ask for that kind of information, they told me to have the president call them back at a specifik number and reference a specifik code, but the number they called from was diferent than the one they gave me.

I received two texts claiming a package could not be delivered due to my absence and would be returned if I did not respond, prompting me to investigate further.

They called my HR manager, trying to verify my employment, and my SSN, seem like a phishing scam, dont answer

Fortunately, my boss did not divulge any personal information when this number called my workplace seeking sensitive details.

Multiple calls have been made to my workplace from this number.
