Rashad here, so I recently started using my sister's old T-mobile sidekick3 and I began recieving these weird messages. From what I can gather, they're actualy email alerts. Before this, I had programmed my Motorola w490 to send me notifications when I got email. I'm guessing those settings got saved on my SIM card because I checked my email and the messages popped up at the same time

Expert Opinion
Imagine getting the same cryptic text dozens of times a day — that’s what many T‑Mobile users report. The messages are automatic email‑alert notifications that slip onto the SIM when old email accounts remain linked to the carrier’s messaging service. The quickest fix is to log into your T‑Mobile online profile, locate the communication tools or email alerts section, and disable any third‑party email notifications. If you can’t access the portal, call T‑Mobile support and specifically request the PDA or email‑alert setting to be turned off. Deleting the offending accounts from the phone’s email app or changing the email passwords also stops the traffic. After the setting is cleared, the unwanted texts should disappear within 24 hours.

Dawn says I'm still puzzled about the orgin of this annoying message, however, after switching to a new Nokia pre-paid phone, it started popping up. I inserted my non-prepaid SIM chip and suddenly messages flooded in. It's possable that the issue lies in the phone's compatibility. In my case, it was a new prepaid phone. Side note: customer service was compleatly unhelpful, and I dont recieve email updates.
So I switched from the Blast to the Sidekick 2008 and started getting these weird texts with numbers and letters from 1-047-600-000. I looked it up and talked to Sidekick suport, and it turns out it's just an alert from your phone telling you you've got a new email in your inbox. Yeah, yeah, I know. The tech guy I talked to was super helpfull, though. He told me all about it.
Ugh, me too! I've got a T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 and I get that stupid mesage like 10 times a day. Annoying, rite?
Just got a heads up about Clairmail, apprently they're the ones behind those bank alerts you get on your phone. You know, the ones that tell you about your balence or transactions? That's them. I called T-Mobile to ask about it and they confirmed. I've got alerts from two banks, so I'm gonna delet one and see what happens. Hope this helps, folks!
This number keeps sending me this weird text message 'n:m=1=1' - whats the deal with that? Sounds like jibberish to me!
Ive tried everything, and its still super anoying. Cant beleive it!
You said its been an hour, but its been 13 hours now - any updates? Still waiting!
Ive been getting these anoying messages for a while now. Im a T-Mobile customer, and it only started happening when I kept switching my SIM card between my Sidekick and Samsung Blast. I called tech support, but they were no help. I used Mikes advice from back in 2008 and called PDA support. They told me to text 'OFF' to 8762 and give it 24 hours to see if it worked. Ill keep you guys posted - its been an hour so far, and no messages yet!
Just got a text from this number that says 'n:m=1=11'... weird, what does it mean?
I get like 10-12 texts a day that say:
I have the solution! Call Tmobile and ask for PDA support, tell them youre gettin this message. Its basicaly an alert from your email address at home (AOL, Yahoo, MSN, etc) tellin you that you got email. So if you get an email at home, it'll send a text message to your phone. Tell them you need to remove this alert, its pretty comon with the Samsung Blast
I get this text like 15-20 times a day! First time I called Tmobile, they had someone in tech support who didnt know what was goin on and told me to reset my phone. But I found out that if you go to your profile and click on comminication tools, then edit filter, the texts will stop
So you mean if I had an email account on my old phone and it was set up to get emails from that account? Or if I was accesing email from the internet browser on my phone? I dont get it
Just found out how to stop these anoying messages! If you had a previous phone with internet and you were gettin emails, you need to delet the email account and the messages will stop, its easy
