T‑Mobile texts flooding your phone? Stop them now!

Expert Opinion
Imagine getting the same cryptic text dozens of times a day — that’s what many T‑Mobile users report. The messages are automatic email‑alert notifications that slip onto the SIM when old email accounts remain linked to the carrier’s messaging service. The quickest fix is to log into your T‑Mobile online profile, locate the communication tools or email alerts section, and disable any third‑party email notifications. If you can’t access the portal, call T‑Mobile support and specifically request the PDA or email‑alert setting to be turned off. Deleting the offending accounts from the phone’s email app or changing the email passwords also stops the traffic. After the setting is cleared, the unwanted texts should disappear within 24 hours.

I kept getting texts from this number, so I called my cell provider and they had to change my number!
I just set up internet on my phone and started getting these texts too...I'm prety sure it's related to the internet on my sidekick.
I had the same problem with these texts. Changed my phone from a regular Nokia to a Blackberry, and the texts just wouldnt stop. Finaly talked to somone in PDA support at T-mobile, and they told me that the issue was with my old Nokia phone - I had alerts set up for new emails, and they didnt turn them off when I switched phones.
n=m=1=2
Just did the service thing too, hopefully it works! Thanks for the help.
Yeah, I've been getting these texts too - started when I got my sidekick in 2008. So dumb and anoying.
Just did the service thingy about 3 hours ago, and so far no more texts! Thanks for the tip.
Just found the solution to get rid of these annoying texts! Log in to your T-mobile account online, go to 'my services', and click on 'create email filter' on the right side. Input the number thats showing up on your phone (10476000000) and choose 'do not send to handset' and 'do not forward'. Did this 2 weeks ago and havent gotten any more texts. Note: it takes 24 hours to kick in.
Hey guies,
About to try this solution - these texts are so annyoing! Hope it works for all of us.
Wat da heck is dis crap??
Wat da heck is dis crap??
I have a sidekick too, so I'm guessing it's a sidekick + T-mobile thing.
I know this is old news, but I just got one of these messages too and I'm on T-mobile as well. Maybe it's a T-mobile thing?
I'm prety sure it's your email thats causing the problem. I've been having the same issue for weeks. I read somwhere that it might be related to your email, so I tested it out. Sent myself an email and, sure enough, my phone started ringing. Tested it again just to make sure - same thing. I have no idear how they got my number, but I'm almost posotive it's email related.
I've been getting these annoying messages on my cell too, but only after I got my new phone. Didnt have email asociated with the number or anything. Called customer service and they gave me a new number. Got the text again an hour later...I have no idear how to stop it. I just turned off the sound and delete them whenever I get one.
I've been getting this same number as a text on my phone. I just got a blackberry and it's still happening. I've talked to T-mobile about it, but they cant figure it out. They said I might have to change my number, which is realy frustrating.
I recieved a message from the same number, but it was compleatly difrent. I have a blackberry through T-mobile and I also use Yahoo, so I'm not shure whats going on.
It's from Albania or somthing, I think it's some kind of corruption or worm. Check your computer and bills to make shure you're safe.
I'm so sick of these n:m=1=1 messages, I dont know who they are or what they want, but I wish they'd stop. T-mobile's not doing ennything about it, which is bull.
I'm having the same problem as Dee, I'll try to find a solution.
Glad I found this solution, my daugther's having the same issue with her new sidekick. We also have T-Mobile, just like many others.
Jenifer says I was able to respond to the message, but then I got another one with a difrent number.
OMG, Kayla's having the same issue! Did you guys ever figure out whats going on? HELP!
Danny says thanks for posting this, it's the only solution I've found so far.
Tanya's having a similiar issue, I'm recieving the same message repeatedly and it's driving me crazy. The number is 1-047-600-0000 and the message body is just a bunch of random letters and numbers. I've tried contacting Tmobile, but they're not mutch help. I have a sidekick and the constant notifications are annoying, especially in the middle of the night
Kathryn reports that I've been exsperiencing this issue with my blackberry since day one. When I contacted T Mobile, they claimed it was a Yahoo problem and that I had to reach out to them for assistance.
