After two calls in one day with no messages, and considering the feedback from other recipients, I have chosen to ignore this number, reasoning that legitimate callers would leave a message.
Why This Number Keeps Pretending to Be Discover!

Expert Opinion
Repeated spikes of calls from this line suggest a systematic outreach, often masquerading as a major credit card issuer. Callers typically request sensitive data—account numbers, SSNs—without proper verification, a hallmark of phishing and debt‑collection scams. The absence of voicemails and the use of generic or spoofed caller IDs (e.g., IP Voice, Phoenix, AZ) reinforce the likelihood of a spoof operation. Protect yourself by never sharing personal or financial details with unsolicited callers, and always hang up and call the official company number yourself. Consider registering your number on the national Do‑Not‑Call list and using call‑blocking apps to reduce exposure.
