I wholeheartedly agree, having to block 30 numbers on my phone and deleting some to add new ones, which is very frustrating, and despite having a Do Not Call List, it seems to be ineffective
What’s behind the Study America survey calls?
Summary — +15404160218
Expert Opinion
Surprisingly, the call pattern from +15404160218 shows frequent brief rings and immediate hang‑ups, a hallmark of automated political surveys. Callers often claim to represent Study America or generic political groups, repeatedly asking about voting intentions. This relentless dialing erodes patience and can even trigger carrier‑level spam filters. Blocking the number is a quick fix, but the same organization may rotate through new IDs, so enable your phone’s Do Not Call registry and consider third‑party call‑blocking apps that flag political pollsters. Staying vigilant and updating block lists regularly will reduce these interruptions without missing legitimate calls.

It's appalling to receive such intrusive calls, allegedly funded by Republicans, inquiring about voting habits and soliciting donations, which are likely to be misused by the organizers. Notably, these calls are supposed to be prohibited for those on the DNC list, but it seems these individuals disregard the law. The lack of effective enforcement by the FTC is concerning. To address this issue, it's essential to revise the DNC laws to impose stricter penalties on violators, including those using fake numbers. Moreover, restricting calls after 7 PM, on weekends, and providing legitimate caller IDs could help mitigate the problem. In the meantime, turning off landlines after 7 PM can help maintain peace at home.
