Expert Opinion
Heads up: calls from the number showing “Marketplace” are most likely telemarketing pitches trying to sell health‑insurance or Medicare enrollment and often come with no voicemail. Treat any unsolicited request for personal or insurance details as suspicious. Hang up immediately, avoid pressing any keys, and don’t provide Social Security numbers, account numbers, or credit‑card info. Add the number to your phone’s block list and report it to the FTC or your carrier’s spam‑filter service. Consider registering your line on the national Do Not Call list and use a reputable call‑blocking app. Regularly review your credit and insurance statements for unexpected activity.
