Expert Opinion

Imagine receiving a persistent call from someone who says they work for Federal Services and insists on speaking with the business owner about a mysterious government contract. Most recipients describe the caller as rude, unwilling to provide details, and quick to hang up when refused. These hallmarks line up with classic impersonation scams that use official‑sounding names to pressure targets. If you get a similar call, do not share personal or corporate information, add the number to your block list, and report the incident to the FTC or your state consumer protection agency. Updating your Do‑Not‑Call registry and training staff to question unsolicited owner‑only requests can further reduce exposure.
