Stop the impostor calls: Tips against Microsoft scams!

Apparently, somebody decidied to call me at work, but when I answer, ther was only silence, no background noise, and it seem they had me on mute, so now they are on my scam list

Today, I received two calls from individuals posing as network security support

A scammer claimed my computer was not accepting updates and became agitated when I explained I use a Linux system, not a Windows computer, and they incorrectly claimed they would shut down my access.

A scammer with an indian accent called me twise today, first time no message was left, second time i answered and he asked for somone, when i ask him who is calling he hung up

A man with a South-Asian accent claimed to be from Windows, stating he had my wife's computer ID and name. However, my wife hasn't used a computer in years, making this entire call suspicious. He changed his story, saying he worked for W.A.G., and asked for my wife's information. I hung up, and he quickly called back, but I ended the call again. It's possible they obtained her name from our voicemail message. Beware of this scam.

An individual, allegedly named Alan Parker from Microsoft, contacted me with an Indian accent, attempting to fix non-existent errors on my computer, but his scam was exposed when I asked him to verify his identity through Microsoft

This is a scam, and Level3, the carrier, has been notified, but they haven't taken action yet

This number calls daily, claiming my computer needs service, but the caller's Indian accent and claim to represent Microsoft suggest a robocall scam.

After I hang up on him, he call me multiple times, eventhou he know I know he is a scammer

This number identifies itself as being from Arlington and claims I need to upgrade my Windows technical capabilities.

This number is a threat, reported to authorities and should be avoided at all costs.

According to WhitePages, this number is flagged as scam or fraud, so it get's blocked, its shame our goverment 'Do Not Call' enforcers dont do ther job corectly

Weird, silent calls were received from this number, identified as being from Virginia, with no messages left on multiple dates

The caller falsely claimed to be from Homeland Security, accusing the recipient of criminal activity, which is a known scam tactic.

I suspect this number is associated with a scam because I received a call with no message left.

Unwanted calls from solicitors with distinct foreign accents persist, and when asked to stop calling, they resort to using profanity.

Weekly calls with no messages suggest a potential scam, as it's unlikely a legitimate caller would behave in this manner.
