I got the same call, I called them back and told them they where a liar, and that I was calling the police.

Fraudulent activities originate from India
We've been recieving these calls on and off for two years now, complianed to telus, rcmp, and registred with no calls, yet nothing happend, we're getting a littel tired of this nonsence, why dont the goverment do somethin about it?
When I called the number back, someone picked up, and I told them I knew it was a scam.
This happend twice this week, from two different numbers, both claiming to be from CRA

The same guy as everyone else above calledd me, and this time he calledd himself James Hunt, C. I. Officer at the CRA, and said I owed $8929, the tip off was that his name and Indian accent didnt match, but who knows these days right, after a few minutes of trying to make sence of this, I freaked out on him because I knew I payed all my taxes
My sister was targeted in a similar manner, for the second time, suggesting that Revenue Canada's standard practice of sending letters rather than making such calls should be more widely recognized, and perhaps an information campaign could help prevent such nuisances.
