Kevin Smith prize scam – how to avoid the trap!

Expert Opinion
Skip the reply and delete the message; texts promising millions are almost always a scam. Most reports describe the same pattern: a foreign‑origin number, a bogus prize, and multiple email addresses to harvest personal data. Never share your phone number, email, or banking info, and block the sender to stop future hits. If you’re unsure, verify with your carrier and report the incident to the FTC’s spam‑complaint portal. Blocking the number, reporting the spam, and ignoring any follow‑up requests are the safest steps. Staying skeptical protects you from identity theft and unwanted solicitations.
