Windsor, CA Telemarketer Spam – What to Do!

In my opion, the Female caller insisted that I provide her with my personal information as it was required that I do so but I told her that I was born at night but I wasn't born yesterday

A call was received with no caller ID, which was ignored and allowed to ring through to the fax machine.

The caller claimed to be from American Pro Energy and stated they obtained my number from my utility company, which I disputed since I never provided my cell number to any utility company, leading me to end the call and block the number.

This number is associated with a Jamaican-based solar telemarketing scam, which operates from boiler rooms, and the only course of action is to add it to the block list and disregard it.

This morning, a suspicious call was received from the number 707-836-9630, which turned out to be fake. A man with an unidentifiable accent, possibly from the Middle East, claimed to represent the California Solar Institute and requested to discuss important information with me as a homeowner. I requested to be added to their do-not-call list, but he refused, stating they didn't have one and were dialing random numbers. After I told him I wasn't a homeowner, he became argumentative and rude, prompting me to report him and hang up. Upon calling back, I discovered the number was disconnected, interestingly originating from Windsor, CA, close to my residence.

Despite requesting removal from their list multiple times, these individuals continue to call relentlessly, often hanging up when asked to speak to a supervisor.

This number is linked to a solar scam, characterized by frequent daily calls.

A robocall from a Windsor, CA spoofed number, linked to National Renewable Energy Center, is believed to be from a scam energy contracting company with a poor reputation.

Despite having a call blocker, this number has continued to call me regularly for years; fortunately, the call blocker intercepts the calls, resulting in only one ring before they are dismissed.

When I called the number 707-836-9630, it became clear that the purpose was to verify my phone number's legitimacy, after which I would be subjected to repeated calls, I would recommend using a call blocker to prevent such nuisance.
