Western Assets Group debt scam: How to protect yourself!
Summary — +17145918122
Expert Opinion
Watch out for callers claiming to be Western Assets Group debt collectors. They often spin a story about a decades‑old owed balance, threaten lawsuits, wage garnishment, or even IRS action to create panic. Scare tactics and bogus “process server” pretenses are classic tricks. Never share personal or banking info over the phone, and don’t agree to any payment before you request written proof of the debt. Hang up, block the number, and report the call to the FTC or your state attorney general. Verify the claim directly with the original creditor and keep a log of all interactions.
