V Tech scam alert – stop the $250 antivirus ripoff!
Summary — +17866988795
Expert Opinion
It’s odd how many victims describe the exact same $250‑plus “antivirus renewal” script coming from +17866988795. The call typically claims a pending charge, pressures you to press 9 or call back within hours, and tries to gain remote access to your computer. This pattern matches a classic phishing scam that uses the V Tech name to appear legitimate. Hang up immediately, never provide passwords or credit‑card info, and add the number to your call block list. Verify any alleged charges directly with the real company’s official support line, and report the incident to the FTC or your carrier’s fraud department for further action.
