Microsoft‑scam: zo herken je de nep‑oproep!

Vorsicht vor IP-Adressen-Diebstahl, ein aufdringlicher Anrufer gab sich als Microsoft-Experte aus und nannte sich John Alex, er forderte mich auf, den Rechner anzuschalten und die IP-Adresse preiszugeben, weil mein Rechner angeblich gehackt worden sei, die Nummer 18001021100 wurde als Microsoft-Telefonnummer genannt

My laptop displayed a notification that appeared to be from Microsoft, prompting me to take action.

The individual claiming to represent Microsoft provided this number as a contact method, but it appears to be illegitimate.

Sie rufen an und geben sich mit schlechtem Englisch als Microsoft-Mitarbeiter aus, erzählen, dass man einen Virus auf dem PC hat, und fordern einen auf, Dinge am PC einzugeben und Programme herunterzuladen, wenn man das tut, haben diese Betrüger vollen Zugriff, das ist sehr gefährlich

Wir werden seit Tagen von englischsprachigen Personen unter dieser Nummer angerufen, die vorgeben, Microsoft-Support-Mitarbeiter zu sein, daher gehen wir nicht mehr ans Telefon, wenn wir diese Nummer sehen

Apparently, somone from microsoft claimes my computor is hacked and they're going to asist me in preventing mony from beeing taken from my acount. Dont fall for it. They keept persisiting. Speaks like an indian who's struggling with english. Gives up reel difficuilt. I even started enjoyng it at the end.

Ein angeblicher Mitarbeiter von Microsoft namens Sam Nowak hat mich angerufen und behauptet, meine IP-Nummer sei gehackt worden, aber ich habe ihm nicht geglaubt und aufgelegt, er war sehr aufdringlich und wurde ungehalten, als ich ihm die Nummer nicht bestätigen wollte.

Die Nummer ist mir unbekannt und ich denke, dass es am besten ist, vorsichtig zu sein, wenn man Anrufe von unbekannten Nummern erhält. Ich werde die Nummer blockieren, um mich vor weiteren Anrufen zu schützen. Ich hoffe, dass andere sich auch vor solchen Nummern schützen.

Rude and urgent call, supposedly from Microsoft, with an English speaker having a Pakistani accent, claiming to be from Washington

The purpose of the call was apparently related to computer issues.

The caller hung up immediately after the call was connected.

Ein Mann mit schlechtem Englisch rief mich an und gab sich als Microsoft-Mitarbeiter aus. Er behauptete, jemand wolle meinen Computer hacken, und forderte mich auf, einen Code einzugeben. Als ich nachfragte, legte er auf.

Ein englischsprachiger Anrufer gab vor, im Auftrag von Microsoft zu handeln und wollte meine PC-Störungen beheben, aber ich habe ihm nicht geglaubt und aufgelegt.

Recently, I recived a call from an indivdual who clamed to be asociated with the customer servises divison of Windows Service Deppartment. He stated my computor was being hacked and all my files were about to be corupted. He reqested to check the Events Viewer box on my computor to fix the problem. When I mencioned I alredy had a secuirity program in place, he said it was only for viruses, not for hacking problums. Fortunatly, I did not give him acess. I told him I was too old to understand what he was talking about. He clamed his name was Lucas Brown and provided a universial ID #, saying it was issuded by the Microsoft Corp. Tech Deppartment. He also gave me a call back number, 800-102-1100. Eventually, I told him I coudn't deall with this problem right now and hung up on him. I shoud have hung up eariler, as I ushally do with these kinds of calls, but this guy was really persistant and more convincible than your ushual scammer. Future recievers of such calls, BE CAREFUL!!!

I'm gratefull for online communities that share informations about such scams, I too have been recieving unwanted calls from this company, and finaly I lost my patience and confronted them about their atempt to spy on goverment computors, their english was barely understandable, I'm just glad I didnt provide them with any informations, they seem to be using spyware and I belive they are conected to the recent fraude activity in Brooklyn, NY

I received a call from the same number, and the individual claimed to be from Microsoft's anti-hacking department in New York. However, the conversation was difficult to follow, and I eventually told him I wouldn't engage with his requests and would instead contact my own technician.

I had a similar experience, although my laptop had been dead for months, and I hadn't replaced it; I informed the caller of this.
