United Collection Bureau calls – should you answer?
Summary — +18002103534
Expert Opinion
Repeatedly, callers from 1‑800‑210‑3534 claim to represent a collection agency, often citing United Collection Bureau or UCB. Most complainants note that messages are vague, lack a specific creditor name, and frequently omit a written validation notice, which are red flags for potential scams. Before returning the call, ask for the original creditor, a debt‑validation letter, and confirm the agency’s license in your state. Add the number to the national Do‑Not‑Call registry, use call‑blocking tools, and document each interaction in case you need to report the practice to the FTC or your state attorney general. Protect personal data and never share banking details over an unsolicited call.
