Whirlpool warranty callbacks: What to expect
Summary — +18002531301
Expert Opinion
If you get a call from +1‑800‑253‑1301 and the voice mentions Whirlpool, Maytag, or a warranty, it’s usually a callback from their service department. They often leave a vague voicemail or an automated greeting that doesn’t clearly identify the rep, which can feel sketchy. The safest move is to let the call go to voicemail, note the reference number, and then call the official customer‑service line on the back of your appliance or the company’s website. Never press a button to be transferred if you’re unsure, and always double‑check any credit‑card claims before sharing info.

Recent Reports for (800) 253-1301
Received a courtesy call from KitchenAid regarding a recent order, which was a pleasant surprise
I implore the national do not call list to take action and find a way to block these annoying calls. It would be helpful if they could identify themselves and their purpose.
The phone rang once and they had already hung up by the time i went to answer it
Dealing with this phone number has been problematic, as it's supposed to provide warranty information for new products but instead calls and hangs up immediately
A legitimate call was received from a Whirlpool associate, who was calling back to correct a previous statement, and the number was verified as genuine
A call marked as 'Unavailable' was received while I was away, leaving a voicemail from a Maytag tech regarding an issue with their website. The caller left an alternative number to reach them, which led me to agree with others that Maytag/Whirlpool should consider listing 800 253-1301 under a more identifiable name to prevent it from being ignored or blocked.
Possibly, this is a legit number and we was waiting for a callback, but the message when answered just said, Hi, this is your callback from an agent ready to speak to you. And then asks me to press a number to be transfered to this agent. At no point does this automated message let you know they are from whirlpool. And they were suppost to call a cell phone, and instead keep calling our home phone. They really aren't starting off on the right note.
They claimed to be from Whirlpool, saying my credit card had been declined for a griddle order, but I dont own any Whirlpool products, I have a Jenn-Air and a griddle for it, and its fully payed
A correction to my previus post....they did leave a mesage--it came through later, it was the Whirlpool waranty service that called, aparently someone had mixed up our adress with a neighbors and scheduled a repair apointment for us.
No caller ID was provided and no message was left, so I blocked the number
I missed a call regarding my Amana fridge, wich leaks water acrost the floor every 5 days, but the voicemail had a diferent number, i was on another call at the time so didnt answer, definatly not a scam
Upon attempting to contact the Whirlpool represantative, I was greeted by an automated system that continously redirected me to various 'speacial' offers, including ADT, Sprint, and Dish TV, however I never succesed in reaching a Whirlpool rep.
Unwanted calls are typically characterized by hang-ups
For my purposes, the lack of a message from this caller suggests they are not genuinely interested in assisting me, acting more like a telemarketer than a legitimate caller.
Due to the caller ID showing 'Not Provided', the call was not answered; it is probable that the call was related to a Whirlpool product issue, but the caller's identity was not disclosed.
Following my email to Whirlpool regarding a Maytag washer issue, I received a callback, and the person left a message on my answering machine.
