Expert Opinion
Heads up: unknown callers demanding personal details are often scams. If a voice claiming to be from a collection agency asks for your full name, date of birth, or address, pause and refuse to share until you independently verify the business. Hang up if the tone becomes aggressive or you sense pressure. Use call blocking apps, add the number to your phone’s reject list, and report the incident to the FTC or your state’s consumer protection office. Regularly check credit reports for unauthorized activity, and never confirm information based solely on a caller ID label. Stay cautious and protect your privacy.
