Upon reviewing my missed calls, I noticed this number and recalled contacting BOA the previous day, which resulted in a callback due to a lengthy wait time if I had remained on the line. I also received a letter stating that their emails to me were undeliverable, prompting a request to update my information. Although I had already done so, the representative claimed the issue was not with the mortgage department, which is my sole point of contact with them. The person on the other end of this number suggested opening an account, so I deleted it. My practice is to only call the existing mortgages number, 18006696607, and this experience has reminded me to exercise caution when answering calls, even from supposedly familiar numbers.
