How to block fake Southern California Edison calls
Summary — +18006554555
Expert Opinion
Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the calls from 1‑800‑655‑4555 masquerade as Southern California Edison to pressure victims into quick payments. Spoofed caller ID makes the scam look legitimate, but the script—threatening service disconnection unless a payment is sent—matches classic utility fraud. Protect yourself by never sharing personal or financial details over the phone; hang up and call the official SCE number listed on your bill to verify any claim. Use your phone’s block feature or a call‑blocking app, and report the incident to the FTC or your state’s consumer protection agency. Stay skeptical of urgent payment requests and keep a record of the call for future reference.
