Apple‑spoof scam calls: How to protect yourself!

Apparently, this number is trying to scam people - definately not apple

As soon as I deteced the accent, I was immediatly suspicious of a scam, so I listened for a bit before telling him he had the wrong number and hanging up.

A voicemail was left claiming to be from Apple, stating that the account was blocked due to suspicious activity and that an Apple representative needed to be contacted

When I received a call warning me that my Apple Cloud account had been compromised, I waited on the line, but after a while, I hung up.

A recording claimed my ICloud account had been hacked and instructed me to press 1 to speak to a rep.....

Somebody call me, saying my Apple ID is compromized, but the support number they give me is not apple's number...

Although this is Apple's legitimate customer service number, it appears to be spoofed and should not be answered; instead, dial the number manually

The caller alleged that my computer had been hacked and requested information about it.

I was alerted that my iCloud account had been accessed by an unknown individual through a call from this number.

Following a forwarding message on Facebook, I started receiving spam calls, almost like clockwork.

I recieved a call on my cell phone, and the voicemial said it was from "Apple Tech Support", asking me to call (213) 261-0444 for asistance with my account, but since I dont owen any apple product, I wonder if they would be intrested in selling me somthing??

A robotic voice claimed there was an issue with my iCloud account, but this was clearly a scam since I use an Android device and don't have an iCloud account.

The caller ID stated that it was apple, but the message was a poorly pre-recorded one, and i dont have any apple products, this number has also been blocked.

This number is assoicated with an Apple scam and also leaves voicemail

If you are not sure, just hang up and call apple back, if they are real, they will give you a case number, if they are scammer, they will argue and try to get you to not hang up

If you look at the keypad, this number spell 1-800-MY-APPLE, but the oficial number for Apple is 1-800-694-7466, this number is a scam and they dont call you, you have to call Apple!!!

Three calls were received within a short time frame, with a recording asking to schedule a call or follow a link in an email

Apparently it an apple number, so it say, I did not contact or request apple service, with the exception of actualy being an apple store, Apple has never attempted to help me so I know it was a scam call

Beware of thes scammers, they claime to be from the apple store, saying your compuer is being hacked, dont fall for it, ther trying to get acces to your computer, its a compleat scam, be carefull!

A caller from this number warned me about an alleged overseas hacking attempt on my Apple devices.

My App blocked a call from this number, which claimed to be from Apple, but seemed unlegitimate.

The generic message left on my voicemail suggests that this number may be spoofed, particularly since I have no ongoing case or support request with Apple.
