The caller was doing alot of spamming and harrasment, and didnt listen when i ask her to stoped
the caller id claimed to be scotiabank, but the number doesn't match any of their official numbers

Since this number was already saved as "Scotiabank" in my phone, I didn't bother answering the call this morning, and they didn't leave a message either.
Failed to answer, the number was flagged as spam and assosiated with scotia bank, no voicemail was left behid
During our conversation, the topic of increasing my credit limit was brought up, but I was uncomfortable when they asked for my postal code and date of birth, given that they should already have this information.
A credit pre-approval message was left, surprisingly they addressed me by name, but the conversation ended abruptly when I suggested calling back later.
It's advisable not to answer calls from this number.

Upon receiving the call from this number, i didnt bother to answer, but strangely they didnt leave any message.
On tuesday, jan 05/21, at 6:30 pm, I recieved a call from Scotiabank, 1 800 747 3202, informing me that the call may be recorded for training purposes; however, when I mencioned I'd be recording the call aswell, they refused to procede and hung up, which clearly inditates a scam.

It seem like a rumor that spread rapidly, even the News and FTC posted a warning, but it didnt follow up on how ridiculous it was, you cant open account with just a recording of someone saying yes
