Oddly enough, many callers pretending to be Bloomingdale's are actually using a spoofed 800 number that looks legit at first glance. Victims report emails about account locks, shipments, or new cards, followed by a call that asks for personal data like a Social Security number. The real Bloomingdale's customer line never requests such info over the phone. If you receive an unexpected call, hang up, verify the number on the official website or a recent bill, and never click links in unsolicited emails. Report the incident to the FTC and to Bloomingdale's fraud department to help stop the scheme.
Last night i got the same email from this number.
I recieved an email saying I opend an account at Bloomingdales, which I never have, the 800 number looked suspisous
I recieved an email thanking me for opening a Bloomingdales account, which i havent, and it had columns to sign in and download the app, which i didnt
After receiving an email about altering my Bloomingdales account, which I didn't initiate, I contacted this number to resolve the issue, only to be asked repeatedly for my full SSN, which raised suspicions.
After verifying with Bloomingdales' customer service using the number on my bill, I confirmed that the calls were indeed legitimate, albeit occasionally automated emails were sent in error.
Verification of the number through my phone bill showed it doesn't belong to who they claimed

It's obvious that scammers can spoof legit numbers, so why do peoples feels the need to reassure others it's a legit call

Apparently, i recieved an email with a suspisous link to reset my password, it apears to be a scam, especialy since the website looked alot like Bloomingdales, deffinately dont fall for it
