کئی شکایات میں یہ بتایا گیا کہ کالر خود کو Comcast کے نام سے پیش کر رہا ہے۔ یہ کالیں اکثر نئی موڈیم یا سروس اپگریڈ کی جھوٹی پیشکش کے ساتھ آتی ہیں اور کال کے دوران کمپیوٹر سکیورٹی یا بل کی دھمکی کے بہانے آپ کی ذاتی معلومات مانگتے ہیں۔ اگر آپ کو ایسے کال موصول ہوں تو فوراً نمبر کو بلاک کریں اور کال کا ریکارڈ رکھیں۔ اپنی اصل سبسکرپشن کی تفصیلات براہ راست Comcast کی سرکاری ویب سائٹ یا ایپ سے چیک کریں، کسی بھی غیر طلبی لنک پر کلک نہ کریں۔ کال کے دوران کسی بھی مالی یا لاگ ان معلومات کا اشتراک نہ کریں اور اگر کال باقاعدہ آتی رہے تو کال‑بلاکر ایپ یا سروس استعمال کریں۔ اس طرح آپ دھوکہ دہی سے بچ سکتے ہیں۔
