The caller claimed to be validating our business' Google My Business listing and requested verification codes, which initially seemed legitimate given the information they provided. However, their request for Manager permissions and eventually money revealed their true intentions as a scam.
Ultimately, the caller's intentions were revealed when they requested payment after providing some legitimate information, prompting me to end the conversation.
