Expert Opinion
In Broward County these days, residents keep hearing the same pitch about a senior aid helper and insurance, often from spoofed local numbers. The pattern points to a coordinated scam that uses a callback line (833‑213‑9482) to lure recipients into answering or leaving a voice response. Callers rotate area‑code IDs to dodge block lists, making simple block actions less effective. Your best defense is to let the calls go to voicemail, flag the number on carrier‑level do not call services, and avoid any interaction that could trigger a recorded answer. If the message claims official affiliation, verify it directly with the agency before taking any steps.
