Expert Opinion
Block any unfamiliar numbers that claim to adjust your SBA loan. Check the caller ID before returning the call, and remember that the SBA never contacts borrowers by unsolicited voicemail asking for loan increases. Keep a record of the exact script and any requested callback numbers; report the number to your carrier and to the FTC’s complaint portal. Use built‑in spam filters on your phone, and consider a third‑party call‑blocking app for extra protection. Never share personal or financial details with someone you cannot verify, and if you have an active SBA loan, contact the agency directly using the official website or known phone line. Stay vigilant and protect your data.
