Expert Opinion

Yesterday in the Midwest, callers using the 844‑538‑0910 line pretended to be process servers demanding immediate service of court papers. These scams typically cite bogus case numbers and threaten legal penalties to intimidate recipients. Never share personal or financial details, and ask for verifiable court documentation before taking any action. Hang up if the caller cannot provide a legitimate agency name or contact information, then block the number. Report the incident to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection office. Consider adding the number to a call‑blocking app and stay alert for similar high‑pressure tactics.
