Citizens Bank text scam—how to spot the fake!
Summary — +18448106151
Expert Opinion
Late Tuesday, a series of texts from +18448106151 claimed to be from Citizens Bank and asked recipients to verify account details via a suspicious link. The messages contain poor grammar, mismatched branding, and urgent language—classic signs of phishing attempts. Recipients should never click unknown URLs, especially those asking for personal or banking information. Instead, contact the bank directly using a known phone number or online portal. Block the offending number, report the incident to the FTC and your mobile carrier, and consider enabling two‑factor authentication on financial accounts. Staying vigilant and confirming requests through official channels helps protect bank details from fraud.
