Debt Collector Fraud from Mediation Services – What to Do
Summary — +18592150043
Expert Opinion
Like a wolf in a courtroom, the caller pretends to have legal authority to frighten you into a quick call back. These fast‑paced threats are a classic pressure tactic used by scammers pretending to be mediation or litigation services. Never share personal or financial details before you verify the caller’s identity through official channels. Hang up, block the number, and file a complaint with the FTC or your state attorney general. Keep a log of the call, and if you suspect a debt‑collection scam, consult a trusted attorney rather than responding to the demand. Staying calm and skeptical protects your privacy and your rights.
