At 10:20 P.M. Central, a call was made, violating the law that prohibits such calls after 9:00 P.M.; the caller, with a heavy Indian accent, falsely claimed to be from the Windows Technical Department and promptly hung up when I threatened to record the conversation.

It's essential to understand that the DNC list does not completely block calls, as there are exemptions, and illicit activities often disregard laws. A politician who claims otherwise would be misleading the public.
The do not call list has proven ineffective, as I receive 4 to 10 daily calls from these scammers, who seem to be aware of their ability to bypass the system.
This number is clearly a scam number
At 9:40 pm, I received an unwanted call from this number, with the caller claiming my computer's windows were at risk. I expressed my displeasure at the late hour and asked to be removed from their list before ending the call. As I'm on the do-not-call list, it's frustrating to continue receiving such calls.

Living in Germany, it was surprising to receive a call from a Kentucky-based number, which ended abruptly with an automated goodbye message.
