Scam alert: fake NRSC texts targeting voters

Expert Opinion
Late last night, a wave of political‑themed texts rolled out to dozens of users, pretending to be the National Republican Senatorial Committee and even quoting familiar names. Those messages typically contain a short link that claims to verify voter status. The safest move is to ignore and delete the message, never tap the URL, and block the sender. Enable your carrier’s spam filter and consider a third‑party call‑blocking app. If you’re unsure, check the official party website or contact your local election office directly. Reporting the number to your provider helps curb future phishing attempts.
