User-provided information suggests caution is advised
Is that U.S. Bank text a scam? Find out now!
Summary — +18662531752
Expert Opinion
It’s odd how a routine verification code can morph into a full‑blown phishing trap. The pattern here points to a spoofed U.S. Bank alert that includes a six‑digit code and a toll‑free number (866‑253‑1752) urging you to call. Scammers rely on the urgency of “unauthorized use” to extract card details or Social Security numbers. Never share personal or financial info over that line; instead, log into your banking app or call the number printed on the back of your card. Block the caller in your phone, report the number to your carrier, and file a complaint with the FTC or your bank’s fraud department. Staying skeptical and verifying through official channels is the safest play.
