Having undergone Quest bloodwork in October 2022, I started receiving suspicious texts in late December 2022, after an initial legitimate text from Quest in November 2022, informing me of a charge to my account. Given their ability to automatically collect funds, these messages seem to be a scam, particularly as my dad received a similar message, and I have found similar complaints online, so I advise against making any payments.
Quest Diagnostics text scam: what to watch out for!
Summary — +18662543859
Expert Opinion
Never click links in unsolicited billing texts! Scammers are using the 866‑254‑3859 number to pose as Quest Diagnostics and claim you owe a bill through a fake Zotec Partners portal. Treat any unexpected message demanding payment as suspicious, especially if it asks for personal or financial details. Verify the claim by logging into your official Quest account or calling the verified customer service number on the company’s website—not the number in the text. Delete the message, block the sender, and report the incident to the FTC or your phone carrier. Staying cautious protects your personal info, blocks phishing, and keeps your finances safe.
