Macy’s fraud check calls – what to expect!

I received a message asking me to call Macy's regarding an online order I placed the previous day, and they wanted to verify my shipping address, which was the only purpose of the call.

After receiving a call from macys.com, I found a message on my phone indicating suspicious activity on my card, and they claimed to have access to my personal information.

A scammer using this number stole my Visa information and made several purchases; I've since canceled the card and advised others to exercise caution.

After contacting Macy's directly, I found out that someone had fraudulently purchased a $150 gift card in my name, which they promptly voided. It's crucial to remember that genuine companies do not call to verify sensitive information over the phone for online purchases.

I got a call from somone claiming to be from macy's, saying somone was ordering gift cards on my account, they asked for my social secirity number and birthday, but i didnt give it to them, i verified some info and then called macy's back on a diferent number to check if it was legit.

My wife was contacted by this number regarding a Macy's order, which we did not place. The caller provided an order number and requested a callback.

It's astonishing that reputable companies would associate themselves with such an unprofessional service, as evidenced by the lack of transparency when searching for the number online

A voicemail message was received requesting a call to 1-866-282-8977, which appeared to be a legitimate verification call from Macy.com, but ultimately led to concerns about the security of my credit card information

Some lady named Vicky, called me about my recent Macy's order, and gave me this number to call back, she said I had to call before 3pm on Feb 14th, which seem's weird, I checked the order number online, and it wasnt mine.
