I received the same text message, but it was regarding my ex-boyfriend; after texting 'stop,' I got a response with an email address: admin@unitedrecovery.net.
Robert Whitman text scam? How to stop it!
Summary — +18663839941
Expert Opinion
Imagine receiving a text that claims to be from a mediation department, signed by a "Robert Whitman," and urges you to call a toll‑free line. The language is vague, the personal details odd, and multiple recipients report the same message—classic hallmarks of a spam or scam campaign. Do not reply, click links, or call the number. Block the sender in your device, and consider adding the number to your carrier’s do‑not‑call list. Forward the text to the FTC at spam@ftc.gov or your state consumer protection office. Keep a record, but stay away from any follow‑up contact.
