Calls have been made stating there are legal documents I must attend to, claiming multiple attempts to reach me and threatening a 24-hour complaint to a judge. The call sounded scripted, with poor language skills, and they used a name I legally changed over 10 years ago, not even getting that correct. The calls come from a restricted number.

A person called me and left a message saying I needed to call back ASAP or I would be arreted, also they contacted my mother and harrased her, compleatly unaceptable

Notably, they've been contacting my family members in an attempt to elicit a response. During my one call to them, the individual threatened to serve me if I didn't agree to payment terms, then requested my address after I told him to send the documents to my home. This interaction confirmed it was a scam. It's essential to remember that legitimate debt collectors, government agencies, and even the IRS communicate through mail, not phone calls, especially during tax season when scams involving social security numbers are prevalent. Blocking the number 866-978-6403 is advisable. Hopefully, sharing this experience will warn others.

For months, I've been receiving continuous messages from this caller, always leaving the same message about papers in the clerk's office and my address on file, sometimes they mention a company name, but most times they don't, and the company names keep changing, they've also been calling my family and non-family members with the same message, always with a different person

A call was received at my workplace from Nationwide Legal Services regarding case number 2747000; when asked about the filing state, the representative stuttered and referenced the attorney's file; upon inquiring about the creditor, they claimed it was Nationwide, which I have no accounts with, prompting me to contact the Attorney General's office before hanging up; shortly after, a voicemail was left on my cell phone claiming they had time-sensitive documents and needed a callback, threatening to verify my address and employment if no call was returned by the end of the day
