The caller attempted to scam me by requesting money.
Wellcare wellness scam—stop the calls now!
Summary — +18772524334
Expert Opinion
Clearly, these calls are a scam masquerading as a Wellcare wellness exam. Callers repeatedly claim to represent the insurer, ask for Medicare IDs, SSNs, or other personal data, and pressure you into a home visit. The best defense is to never share personal information with unsolicited callers, even if the caller ID shows a familiar brand. Hang up, block the number, and report the abuse to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency. Confirm any legitimate appointment directly with Wellcare through their official website or phone line, not via the caller. A call‑blocking app that updates its blacklist regularly can also help reduce repeat attacks.
