Citibank spoof call – what to watch for?
Summary — +18774438871
Expert Opinion
Heads up: callers using +1‑877‑443‑8871 often pretend to be a major bank’s fraud department. The number shows up in voicemail or email phishing attempts that claim a Citi or Citibank security issue. Because the line is spoofed, the caller can display a legit‑looking ID, but the back‑end is controlled by scammers. Never share your Social Security number, PIN, or full card details over the phone. Hang up, then call the official number printed on the back of your card or log into your account through the bank’s official website. Report the incident to your bank’s fraud team and to the FTC.
