A call came from 217-944-4801; reverse lookup said it was 888-280-4331 and labeled it safe. The caller immediately refused to identify herself—likely a recording—then asked my age range. I replied by asking if she was over 65. Her script claimed they weren’t after personal info, sounding like a pre‑written lie.

I was informed that $500.09 would be deducted from my Amazon acount, which seems highly unlikely.
