Premium Assist health‑insurance scam: what’s really happening?
Summary — +18883785261
Expert Opinion
?Ever wonder why the same 888‑378‑5261 number keeps popping up as a health‑insurance call? The pattern in user reports shows a spoofed caller ID paired with low‑quality voicemails that cite a rotating roster of insurers—Blue Cross, Emblem Health, Summacare Medicare, and especially a “Premium Assist” program. Such variability is a hallmark of a scam operation that harvests real names to add credibility. If you receive a message, do not return the call on the displayed number; instead hang up and verify directly with your actual insurer using a known contact method. Block the number, report it to the FCC and consider a call‑filtering service to reduce future robocalls.
