Expert Opinion
Recent call logs reveal a surge of inbound calls from the number +18884570089 claiming to represent Newport Receivables. Callers often allege pending lawsuits, imminent liens, or urgent debt settlements, yet they refuse to provide written validation letters or verifiable contact details. Consumers should hang up, document the date, time, and exact wording, and request a formal notice by certified mail before any payment. Verify the debt through the original creditor and consult the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or FTC for filing complaints. Never share Social Security numbers or banking info over the phone, and consider blocking the number or using call‑filtering apps.
