Capital One debt collector calls nonstop – how to stop them!
Summary — +18885759138
Expert Opinion
Imagine getting a barrage of calls from the same number every morning, and each time the line drops as soon as you pick up. That pattern often signals an aggressive debt‑collection effort. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act you have the right to request written verification of any alleged debt and to tell the caller to stop contacting you. Register the number on your carrier’s call‑blocking service, add it to the national Do Not Call registry, and keep a log of dates, times, and what was said. If the calls persist, file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or your provincial regulator.
