Oakdale and Associates scam call—what to watch out for!
Summary — +18886684045
Expert Opinion
Picture this: your phone lights up with a call claiming a county process server needs to deliver urgent legal papers, even giving you a case number and a company name like Oakdale and Associates. The caller asks for personal details or payment to avoid a lawsuit. This is a common scam that preys on fear of legal action. Never share Social Security, banking, or address info over the phone, and never agree to pay to “settle” a claim you didn’t initiate. Verify any legal notice by contacting the actual court or the alleged agency directly. If you suspect fraud, report the number to your carrier and the FTC.

Although the statement is factually correct, its legal significance appears to be limited.
Regarding your previous comment, you mentioned that the Statute of Limitations has no bearing as long as no lawsuit was threatened.
that's not acurately what happend to you, they threatend to sue over a repossed car from 2007, but the person i replied to didn't mention a lawsuit and it was about a credit card:
A recording of the call would have been helpful; the caller from 800-668-5085, claiming to be from Oakdale & Associates, had access to my SSN, DOB, and credit profile, threatening a lawsuit from Nissan over a supposed 2007 repo car, which I never owned.

Thanks to everyone's posts, I received the same message, and my voicemail even translated it
It's essential to think critically about the information provided, as a genuine process server would not typically warn their target, allowing them to evade service

A voicemail was left on our company phone, supposedly serving papers, but our attorney confirmed that such notices cannot be delivered via phone or voicemail.
Thankfullly, I decidied to call the number back, and a gentleman answered, claiming to be from Oakdale and associates, he said he was from California, and that I was being sued for a repossessed car from 2002, but they coudnt provide me with any informations about the car or the lender, they said they would hold my case for 2 hours before proceding with the lawsuit, which sounds like a scam to me

This number has contacted both my workplace and personal cell, claiming to be about a legal case, mentioning a case number, 2023-233146, and a name, Jason Craig.
I've been contacted at both my workplace and on my cell phone with vague and misleading information regarding a purported case.
I recieve the same call as the other person, its a scam
I have received an identical call to another user, informing me that I have been served with some sort of notice
